Sky use a significantly higher bandwidth for their HD channels than other people do iirc.

Yeah the Sky HD is feed is a higher bit rate than freeview. There is a limit to the freeview bandwidth in order to squeeze enough channels into the airwaves.

I can't help thinking McLaren may have screwed up here with Hamilton on a high downforce setup. He won't be the quickest in qualifying, but then won't have the straight line speed to pass people in the race.

Given that Rosberg had a gearbox failure in FP3 so pretty much got no dry running done, it's not that surprising.
