How long to fit new tyre barrier? 10mins?

Gutted we are losing so much race time on the track I look forward so much more than the rest of the calendar.

The guys who pitted gained on strategy, I think Hamilton gained relative to Rosberg significantly as he's now on a tire that can go longer than Rosberg, he can be on a faster tire at the end and he's gained most of that time lost from starting at the back.

Sainz, does anyone else think the way he rejoined the track was utterly reckless and worthy of penalty. Okay you don't always know what damage you have, but he got the puncture so far back and slowed down very little by the time he'd gone across the corner and was rejoining. Came back on spun and could easily have taken a few cars out. Had absolutely no business aiming his car anywhere near coming back on track imho.

Mag, nasty incident, looked to me like he just got a little too wide, hit the curb too much, it bounced the wheel to hard and when it lost contact coming down to the track it spun up and he lost the rear end.

Red Flag. Now: what are the rules on tyre changes during a red flag period? Do they get to put new tyres on or do they need to carry on with the same tyres?

best decision, got to get that barrier fixed.

Terrible decision overall, had they red flagged immediately as it was plainly obvious any repair would take a dozen laps anyway. Then everyone ahead of Hamilton maintains position and gets new tires. I'm not sad to see Hamilton further up but in a fairness situation a load of people lost position to Hamilton by delaying the red flag. Very unfair to those who were ahead of Alonso/Hamilton and have lost what 5-8 places a piece.

Also hearing Horner/Max, Vettel was an idiot, that was pure Massa move. Cutting in at the start without thinking wait, two cars were ahead of me, I can see one on the inside, I don't know where the other is... I know I'll take the tight inside line.

Vettel hasn't been driving well lately, that was a bone headed move, at least one car on the inside, strong possibility of another, go wide ffs. At least he hurt his own race but he ruined Kimi's and Max's race as well.

Better for Rosberg then, but Hamilton is still in a good position.

Yep but I wish they weren't changing the rule. Things like this will always advantage some and disadvantage others, changing the rule won't change that. But you will get less action on track with the change.

Next year if you need to pit, you'll have to restart, pit and basically go to back of field.

Agree, was reckless and nearly hit someone. Worse still was trying to get back on track as his tyre was tangling around the rear wing and pulling it off.
