I think its pretty obvious that Brawn were lucky to have enough running cash to keep going and make some improvements to the car, never mind putting much into developing their next car. The next couple of years will bring them right back in again.
exactly - maybe this year's merc was always going to be bad , but due to the wide spec changes happening next winter (and with Merc money now readily available) , Brawn will be much more competitive next season imo
And don't forget this year's car was designed for Button as he likes understeer and Shui likes Oversteer.
Never write off Brawn.
Even allowing for this I think the Merc has been a pretty awful car - Rosberg has done very well, but it was never going to challange every race weekend even if Button had been in the car
