Benchmarking VR setup?

The only difference really is the CPU (my 1080 is also an AMP) and I can't see it making that much of a difference, especially when I'm a generation behind! You're not thermal throttling by any chance? It has been warm.

I dont think so. I will try it again after i have optimized my setup a bit (max performance and oc cpu, disabled some nonessential apps etc) My out of the box boost clock rate goes to around 1978 from the core of 1683

Just ran it again and got 8840, my boost only went to about 1960 so I really don't know where you're losing performance. Check CPU utilisation, mine is sitting around 96-98 that could be a bottleneck.

yeah i will have msi afterburner open and record it next time. What drivers have you found to be the best to use? (most stable and good perf)

Ironically in one of the few AAA games i had...Deus Ex MD everything at maximum on 1080p and i was down to 28-30 fps in prague :( hope its just a crappy optimised deus ex. And i was thinking to myself my 1080 will plough through anything haha :D :(

new score of on vrmark 8395 (fps jumped up to 180 which is much better)

probably because i upped the cpu overclock to 4400
and also managed to up the oc on the gpu +122 (so reaching 2101 clock) +220 on memory
and reduced the power limit to 94% so the temps are in the 75 range.

i notice your using nvidia drivers 378.66 ? Worthwhile to change to them? (im on 382.53)
