It comes with a what? Please explain this plant pot holder thing, does it just randomly come with a plant pot holder in the box or is this plant pot holder somehow attached to the screen.

I can imagine the advertising now, add to your crysis experience by adding REAL foliage :)

I might just be interested in this, at least as a temporary screen, considering the complete lack of decent IPS panels on the market at the moment. (I'm too scared to go with the Dell U2410.) Would have preferred a bit extra height, though (i.e., 16:10).

The V2410 doesn't have the plant pot holder which is why we have asked for it specifically but just to prove I'm not lying here is a picture of the V2400:

More and more panels will be making the move to 16:9 thanks to the invention of HD content. Wouldn't surprise me if 16:10 has vanished in 12 months time. Even the professional panels are starting to change (Dell U2711 for example).

Shame I don't care about HD content. :p The medium I work with is 3:2. :)

Maybe the thinking there is that, even though the aspect ratio is greater, you're getting more vertical height (than with the U2410), anyway...

P.S. That plant pot is hilarious! :D

I think the plant pot idea will be alright for all of about 5 minutes then it would just get in the way :P

The black version looks very sexy though.

haha, it's not even in a convenient position, you couldn't put any normal plant in there because it would get in the way. Good call in getting the non-gardeners version. That's made my morning that has, thanks slackworth good work with all these monitors. Shame i can't buy one until end of March, got a 5850 coming end of this month and would be nice to have a decent monitor to use :(.

the more i think about it the more i realise this plant pot could be useful, can holder anyone?

Or Spie could replace Slackworth's monitor with it and super glue a pot with a big fern into it. Should be fun to watch slackworth try to pull the pot out only to take his entire monitor off the desk.

Ohhh the possibilities with this plant pot, maybe OcUK should get some in?

Is it me or is the Monitor stand/shaft not in the centre of the base? Or is that because they've just left it after removing the plant pot?

I think that is the result of removing the plant pot from the V2400.

I really, really want to buy a decent 24"+ monitor for my photography, but I'm having a heck of a time finding something suitable. The new LG IPS panels would be looking good, if it weren't for all the QA issues (tinting). :(

That's why I'm thinking I might have to go with something like this for now. Something suitable has to hit the market shortly, surely?

Am I correct in the assumtion that the only change between the V2400 and V2410 ECO models is the removal of the plant pot. As the V2410 is a slighlty 'nichier' revision on an established model it will be easier to make judgements using the reviews for the V2400.

EDIT: I see the V2400 Also lacks DVI support

V2400 is white and doesn't have the plant pot of doom.

Any idea how these compare to the BenQ G2420HDBL ?

Just not sure which one to go for ?

It's the same panel with HDMI and some power saving stuff.:)
