Bentley Brooklands

I'd rather drive than be driven. The Phantom was nice at the Burj-Al-Arab though. Tricky choice :D

Heh, I guess if you have the 997 Turbo, the Brooklands would be a fine shopping trolley :p

I think these are awesome :D So much more rare and presence than the "new" style Bentleys. The Brooklands looks fantastic!

I was quite happy on first impressions to see the more classic front end, but it all goes quite wrong at the back. The CGT is a disgrace that doesn't deserve holding the badge, the only one I'd be tempted by is the Arnage and the older Continental SC/Azure

Hi there

I say get one, about time you expanded your garage a bit. :D

Also first dibs on the M5 as company car please. ;)

Found some more/bigger pics here - http://www.xelopolis.com/photos/index.php?spgmGal=Bentley/Bentley_Brooklands_2008

It's got so much presence. Love it.

I think it looks fantastic, absolutely love the rims too. Reminds me of old american "gangster" type cars seen in films like Casino.

That is gorgeous.

Is that the same turbocharged engine as in the Continental? Surely it should be supercharged if it to truly hark back to the "Bentley Boys" Brooklands heritage.

If it is to be the next occupant of the Spie garage, does that mean we could soon see you 4 up with a car full of Dons, a boot full of golf clubs (more likely a few crates of Stella after a quick booze cruise) relaxing with the air con on full chat floating gently down the autobahns at over 200mph!! on your way to the ring to see what it can really do!!!

Spot the difference.

Big Chrysler[/QUOTE]

The rear quarter actually suits this car?

The Bentley looks 5* at the front, but the back end? It doesn't gel with the rest of the car to my eyes. It looks too hunched and short.

the problem with bentley at the moment is that VWs attempts to keep the marque afloat have resulted in it being watered down.

every property developer and corner shop owner the length and breadth of the country has a skoda tudor (sorry - continental gt).

whilst vehicles such as the brooklands do maintain the bentley bloodline, should the name be kept to these and the rebadged phaetons and so forth be given another?

*shudders*

The lesson here, car designer ladies and gentlemen, is: mess around with the height of the roofline at your peril.

What a shame.
