He can drive it round in circles on the drive :)

Nah, i'l put him on the insurance.

Thing is, if you start discounting footballers cars it dont leave much choice.

Maserati, forget them, a dozen outside Crystal Palace every training session. So many they must be on a buy one get one free offer.

Porsche, well for obvious reasons thats them out.

Ferrari, give them a miss, too many in the West end.

BMW and Mercedes? Dont make me laugh, even the referee has got one of those.

So whats left, i know, i'l buck the trend and buy that smart car with the Rolls Royce grille, that will be unique.

Im getting a warranty sorted from Bentley monday, put it that way.

Starter motor is 8.5k and the engine out.

Wiper motor 1600 quid it goes on, but **** it what a car :)

I havent asked about anything as yet, when i dropped it off friday i told them to give it the relevant service (early) and have a look round.

On monday i am going to tell them to do the inspection for the warranty on top of the service and general check over.

Any recalls that havent been done they can tackle then.

What is the coil campaign by the way?

Checking a car if it had any coils fitted other than the latest revision, and if not replacing them on the spot.

The early types have the occasional habit of... Well... Catching fire.

I don't think that it would affect a 07 car, but it's best to know for certain as it may be affected and somehow managed to slip under the radar.

Nice one i will ask about that :)

Very nice Mark, awsome engines and lovely interiors :)

Dad's Flying Spur is up for sale now at Bentley Birmingham, has been for about a week now. I'll be a touch sad to see it go I guess. It's the only car that's ever really given me that 'good lord has it got a Merlin Spitfire engine in it!' sort of feeling.

So if anyone is after an 07 Belluga Black Flying Spur with Portland Hide ...Bentley Birmingham have an immaculate one :)

Whats you're dad getting next?

you only got your last Porsche Cayenne like 2/3 months ago

you've got more money than sense !!

And no, i'm not at all jealous ;)

This came up at a price i couldnt refuse, also this last Cayenne was a bit of a let down to be honest, should have got another turbo instead of an S.

Bit of bad news this morning, as of January its no longer possible to put a Bentley approved warranty on a car purchased from outside the dealer network :(

It turns out it needs the 4 year service at 2 grand and i told them to wire me up a battery conditioner for another 310 quid.

The remote control thing i found in an armrest is actually a "privacy phone" :)

I cant have the stupid tyre pressure sensors disabled :(

The lower mesh grilles are 1200 quid and not in stock.

I will post what was found after a thorough inspection tonight for those interested.

Forgot to mention for Fett, new overmats have been ordered too at 400 quid :)

just writing to say GL to Diamondmark. :)

My dads considering a GT to replace his CL500 amg.
he's set on the B-GT or the new facelift CL63 AMGs.

reading this thread with interest. :)

Tell him to go for it :)

Just reading back i'm quite interested in this "privacy phone" option, is this simply a built in car phone or does it offer things like car diag / car hijack options?

Its so you can speak on the phone rather than have the conversation come through the speakers if you have nosey passengers :)

What else it offers god knows, there is a manual as thick as a bible in there :)

Yea it was 310 quid with the conditioner and wiring kit. Wiring kit goes in the boot apparently.

As for the warranty, well i got it 10k cheap, although i wouldnt have bothered to buy it had it not been cheap, so its not like a real saving as such, but it does give me a cushion for bills and still get my money back.

Anyway long story short yea i will keep it, unless they unearth some nightmare today.

They just rang to say all is good, no problems whatsoever with the car :)

According to what I read today, the lower chrome grilles are £800 + Vat Including fitting for a GT/GTC. I'd possibly be able to get you a further 10% off (at least on the parts themselves).

If you're interested I'll try and ask tomorrow for some concrete figures?

I got them, i paid 1200 quid for them but they werent in stock when the car was in for the service, so they delivered them here.

I will get them put on when i get a minute after fixing me wounded Jag :)

Cheers for offering though.
