Berlin - Food?

We went to a music festival and stayed on a hostel with Mustafa’s Gemüse Kebab outside. The line started at breakfast and was never less than 30 people all day. It was 50+ people any time in the evening, a good 45mins wait at least. I finally got one for breakfast on the last day (extremely hungover) and it was awesome.

There's also a really famous burger place in Kreutzberg, I never made it but I think it's Burgermeister after a bit of Googling.

I do like a keeeee bab it must be said. Not sure I’d go seek one out but as a walk in yes, my type of easy street food.

Berlin is distinctly one of those cities where a few beers and a Kebab are a must do. Lots of live music venues. I typically stay around the Kreuzberg area.

One of those cities Ive spent zero valuable time in. I have done quite a bit of bosh land, just never Berlin outside passing through.

Ah okay well just make sure you embrace what Berlin is really about. You can end up in the equivalent of Canary Wharf if you aren't careful; when actually it is all about Camden. I stumbled into an abandoned cinema that was overtaken by a 'pop up venue' and The View were playing. Epic.

Edit: forgot about the big red bus I found in East Berlin, too:

A few years since I’ve been, but BRLO have a tap room which serves some of the best vegetarian food I’ve had. Ryotei 893 does amazing sushi but you have to book in advance. Cookies Cream (featured on the Rick Stein show) is very good too. For cheap eats there are loads of good falafel/kebab/currywurst places so not really worth recommending specifics. Markthalle Neun is good for breakfast or lunch and a wander. Lots of smaller food stalls plus drinks.

I know lots of beer places if you want recommendations too.

We were booked into Ryotei 893 but never made it. Another recommendation from a local.

No longer need recommendations as the trip was last weekend. Shared what we found for future reference.
