Best 1920x1080 around £150?

What's the best to get guys? Would prefer around the £150 mark, but may go a few quid higher ;)

Looking to pair it with the 5870 when it arrives :)

I have an Asus VH222H, its full HD and has HDMI, DVI and VGA connectors, proper widescreen 16:9 ratio, built in speakers. There are reviews saying audio is poor - OK its not eaxctly surround but I find them acceptable. For the price, its pretty reasonable.
 
24" or 22" ?

+1 for the Dell S2409 here.
Had mine about a week now, no problems related to it being a TN panel.
Decent enough blacks and backlight seems fine, checked this as I watch a lot of TV eps on my PC and not noticed any ghosting in games.
 
can't fault mine mate, best thing I've bought for a few years

I'm yet to see a thread where someone has one, but doesn't like it.
 
I'll wait and see what OcUK have on offer this wednesday, if nothing good then it's the Dell S2409W 24" Widescreen LCD Monitor :)
 
Well I've narrowed it down to three Dell's (as they appear the best price/performance)

Dell 2209WA £195
Dell S2309W £170
Dell S2409W £190

Now I know the 2209WA is e-IPS, but it's only 22" and only 1680x1050 and I'd prefer 1920x1080 as I'm getting a HD5870 when they are released.

Is it really worth sacrificing size and resolution for the e-IPS screen? As my current 6 year old Hitachi TN screen seems fine to me (viewing angles are NOT important).

I was thinking about the Dell 24" S2409W is it any good for games. Only concern it is 5ms where i am would prefer a 2ms for css etc? Anyone who owns one comment on how they got with gaming on a SW2409W?

I would like to know the answer to this as well, if anyone has one and uses it for gaming.

Well that may be the case in general but do you actually have a this monitor to comment from experience or is this a passing comment.?

The refresh rate is just a marker so from screen to screen it can be slightly better or worse depending on the unit. You certain do notice a difference depending on what your doing.
 
It's the same with any make of monitor be it Dell, Samsung, etc, most people would not now the diff between 5ms and 2ms. We have 4 monitor's Sam 24" SM2433BW 1920x1080>5ms, Sam 22" SM2233BW 1680x1020>5ms, LG Flatron W2261V 22" Widescreen 1920x1080>2ms, Sam 20" SM206BW 1680x1020>2ms and l bet you could not guess what the refresh rate is if you used any one of them, maybe by luck!
