Just watched the GN review on the DeepCool. Does look good but they mention about fan noise/sound being a bit weird.
I'm not too bothered about noise these days as I use headphone but which review was it?

Thermalright not Thermaltake but I would recommend that too, or the Peerless Assassin.Thermaltake phantom spirit 120 se, should clear the ram but may have to lift the fan slightly..
My scythe mugen 5 rev b could clear anything and performed well
Hmm. Just mulling over options. Think I'll probably look at doing a CPU/Mobo/Ram upgrade in the near future and I'll want something to replace the alpenfohn ben nevis I have on my current 3600Thermalright not Thermaltake but I would recommend that too, or the Peerless Assassin.
Review of the Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE.
TLDW: Slightly better than the Peerless Assassin and best overall CPU cooler. Also confirms that their original Peerless Assassin review had inaccurate noise testing and is actually much quieter than the original review.
Phantom Spirit 120 SE.Eddie, which Thermalright cooler would you suggest right now for the 5800x3D, RAM clearance is expected.
I refuse to splash out over 100 notes on an air cooler so the high end Noctuas etc aren't tempting me.
Phantom Spirit 120 SE.
The phantom spirit t is It's the newer version of the Peerless and comes with one extra heatpipe but they perform simmlar.More so than the frost, peerless etc?
It's a bit better than the Peerless Assassin, about on par with the Frost Spirit 140, however the Frost Spirit is much bigger which has some downsides and I also don't like that it has two different fans.More so than the frost, peerless etc?

Can vouch for Scythe
