So says the Guardian;

Best (according to their readers)

GK: Kingston (Blackpool)

RB: Sagna (Arsenal)
CB: Ferdinand (Man Utd)
CB: Vidic (Man Utd)
LB: Baines (Everton)

RM: Nasri (Arsenal)
CM: Holden (Bolton)
CM: Modric (Spurs)
LM: Van Der Vaart (Spurs)

CF: Elmander (Bolton)
CF: Carroll (Newcastle)

Worst

GK: Gomes (Spurs)

RB: Johnson (Liverpool)
CB: Squillaci (Arsenal)
CB: Stearman (Wolves)
LB: Ilunga (West Ham)

CM: Ireland (Aston Villa)
CM: Cattermole (Sunderland)
CM: J.Cole (Liverpool)

CF: Balotelli (Man City)
CF: Torres (Liverpool)
CF: Saha (Everton)

Dont agree with either list tbh

I've gotta say I'm struggling to understand those teams. In no particular order:

-Ferdinand has been injured half the season.
-Sagna has been pretty ordinary.
-Kingson has played a grand total of 5 games this season in all competitions. How can he be picked ahead of Hart?
-Ireland, again only 6 league starts, is that really enough to brand him one of the worst?
-Cole has started less than half of Liverpool's league games, he's had injuries etc.... not saying he has been good by any stretch of the imagination but that list just seems to be largely a case of picking on moderately big names who haven't done a lot.

What a stupid list. Sagna's been average, Ferdinand only came back to full fitness recently, Modric has been far better in CL than in the league, Holden's been good but he's nowhere near the likes of Nasri, VDV, Nani etc. Elmander and Carroll is not a bad choice up-front, but I'd probably have Tevez instead of Carroll.

That "worst team of the season" is pretty poor. Gomes, Squillaci, Cattermole, Torres and Balotelli shouldn't be in there.

I know nobody really cares, but my best team of the season would be:

GK: Foster

RB: Rafael
CB: Vidic
CB: Kompany
LB: Baines

LM: Nani
CM: Nasri
CM: Van der Vaart
RM: Albrighton

CF: Tevez
CF: Elmander

I think these positions are more accurate than those listed. Nasri's success this season has been because he has been deployed the centre, as has Van der Vaart. Nani has been ripping defenders to shreds coming down the left flank. I struggled to think who has been best in RM, so there might be a better choice than Albrighton. He has been superb though.

the thing with worst team of the season is it's boring to actually just pick the worst individuals. You should go with the biggest disappointments. That's why I can see the likes of Ireland/Cole etc in there but it's still off by a fair bit.

My 'best' team of the year would be:
GK:Hart
LB:Baines
CB:Kompany
CB:Vidic
RB:No real standout but i will say Hutton

Midfield:
Nasri
Van Der Vaart
Cahill

ST:Tevez
ST:Elmander
ST:Carroll

I'd say Foster has definately been the GK of the season so far. LB maybe Baines, he's been good last couple of games, didn't really see him before that.

Cant really argue with most of that, personally though I'd have Nani on the right, Van Der Vaart on the left and fit Cahill in CM with Carroll up front with Elmander
