Best Android Phone for around £250?

I bought it when it was 289 :D I just couldn't resist. (while waiting for my iPhone 7 replacement)

You get a heck of a lot of phone for the money. That's for sure. I'd definitely keep an eye out as it'll no doubt drop again at some point if it has already dropped twice.

I echo Tauren's sentiments. The Honor 8 is one heck of a device. So much so it beat out the OP3T I have.

If you can find it below the price Amazon was selling it I would not hesitate pulling the trigger.

Lenovo P2 is another good choice, 5.5'' super amoled screen, 5100mah battery and £199 quid from Three which means it should be unlocked.

Looks great and the specs are tidy for the money - I'd get it over the Moto.

P2 looks great for £200. tempted by one myself, especially for that battery, but my S5 LTEA/PRIME is still faster spec wise so I don't want a downgrade really : /

Just fancy a new phone!

Sorry for the hijack, I'm in a similar position at the moment.
How is the screen of the Honor 8 in direct sunlight? Not that we get an awful lot in this country.

The honor 8 has a better camera for sure. The p2 has amazing battery life. The AMOLED screen on the p2 is better for watching videos/movies in the dark. Honor 8 is smaller and has an IR blaster (remote control).

I value battery life a lot and I don't like the software that much on honor/huawei phones so I would get the Lenovo p2 but I don't care about the camera that much. I think conventional thinking would put the honor 8 above the p2. The main reason being because the honor 8 is more powerful but the specs on the p2 are still decent, so battery life and better software (personal preference) win for me. Depends on your son imo.

caved in and ordered the p2 .One thing that has bugged me about smart phones is battery life and the p2 seems to have this sorted .I am really gutted to be leaving my idol 4 as its been a great phone .Will do a mini review when it arrives tomorrow .

thanks, how good is the led notification? is it easy to see the led flashing from some distance?

thanks

Led is fine .It's flashing different colours for different apps.Audio output is about three notches down from my idol 4 so needed to crank volume up on amp .Screen is great but I have always preferred AMOLED since my s3 .This phone is an absolute ****** for battery life .It charges so quick and just seems to last for ages .You know when you get a new phone and spend a while setting up .Mine took an hour of constant downloading and was at 80 percent .Three hours later or more I'm at 64 percent .This is the holy grail for me . Finally a phone that works as it should .To be honest I think phone batteries have been so subpar and Lenovo have nailed it.Ive left the charger at home as I know tomorrow when I set out with 60 that's me sorted .After owning most high end phones I found my favourite

Agreed that battery life is very important. I don't think the stress of your phone maybe dieing because you played a few games while waiting for a train and mb using google maps for an hour etc is worth the extra thinness afforded by having a small battery! Thanks for the mini review emu.
