Best Budget 4k TV, 42in £375 max

My Hisense H49M3000 supports 10bit HDR from my PS4 pro (although I believe the panel is 8bit and 10bit HDR is implemented through emulation) for £350 I can't fault the quality of the TV. I'm particularly impressed with how up scaled content appears, even the text in the virgin tivo menus looks sharp. Obviously stuff like ratchet and clank look a fair deal better.

Some extras I was attracted to.
Dual tuner (One Freeview One Freesat)
Passable smart TV support (Netflix/Amazon/Youtube/Plex) Note:not all have 4K support.
HDMI 2.0 with HDCP 2.2 4k@60hz/HDR support (on 2 ports only, with 2 additional hdmi 1.4 ports)
1 USB 3.0 port and 2 USB 2.0 ports (so far the USB3.0 only appears to support a 32GB drive so it's functionally useless in my opinion, the others are handy for chromecast/firestick power)
1Gbe Wired socket
And lastly a headphone socket (without which is a dealbreaker on other sets)

Frankly at £350 for a 49" I couldn't see anything even 4K from other manufacturers.

Good luck what ever you buy.

Do you have any clicking on yours?

I took delivery on Sat, my wife picked up a clicking sound on Sunday. I assumed it was the harddrive I'd attached but it carried on even after removing it. Then it stopped completely but it's back again today.

cheap 8 bit panels with processing capable of receiving a 10 bit signal does not make them a 10 bit HDR panel or tv.

basically it's like a pair of headphones being able to process a dolby digital signal. the output is still stereo, not 5.1.

so those tv's aren't true 10 bit or true HDR. they can simply accept the signal but not output what makes that signal better in the first place.

What's the difference between the M3000 and M3300

I'm looking for a cheap TV for the upstairs bedroom for my ps4 (and maybe the bedroom lol)

Argos have the H40M3300 at £329

Thanks!

I don't think there is any real difference. the 3300 is a newer model, slightly different original firmwares and the 3300 has the smooth motion setting that the 3000 doesn't but tI think that is about it.

You won't be disappointed with either.

Do yourself a favour and buy a decent 1080p tv.

Decent 1080P tv > Cheap 4ktv, resolution isn't everything especially if it's for a ps4 which can only do 1080p max anyway.

Put it this way I got a 55" top of the range 1080p panel for £449 last year from sony centre direct. I use this for my xb1 and single player games on ps4. For competitive gaming i switch to my dell monitor.
