best case fans?

ok what are the best case fans around, as in most powerful yet very quiet as i will probably put 5 of these in and i need them as quiet as possible

if your looking for real silence id recomend silex(sp) fans everyone that uses them on here seems to love them although there a bit pricey iirc

Any they are overrated... Quiet but move fack all air!

Get some panaflo L1a's...

Have 2 of those 120mm Akasa Amber fans, rated at 18dBa and are very quiet. They still push a decent amount of air around.

If you don't want to spend a fortune and want similar noise/performance characteristics as nexus fans (considered one of the best silent fans) you can pick up Aerocool turbine 120mm fans for £4 each.

The best fans I've found are the Thermaltake 'Thunderblade' 78cfm @ 21dB (£5.82), or the 'Silent cat' @ 63cfm @ 16dB!! (£5.82)

Unfortunately they dont sell them at Overclockers but you can find them by searching the net.

I've got 2 YsTech 120mm from overclockers on a fan controller they push about 70-80cfm at 21dB(measured with dB meter) but when gaming I can turn them up max and they push 125cfm @ 35dB.

Yes it is very loud, sounds like a hair dryer on high setting. That's my opinion.

the best 80mm fan would probably be one of the tornados or a delta both push huge amounts of air but sound like hairdryers

what bout the:

- 'Thermaltake Smart Fan II 80mm LED' Air Flow 21.6~72.5CFM, Noise 17dBA at 1300RPM~48.5 dBA at 4800RPM
- 'Sunon 80mm KD1208PTBX-6A High Speed Fan' 50.6CFM at 40dBA
- '80mm Evercool Fan' Airflow: 37.27 CFM, Noise: 27dBA

can anyone tell me what the best one of those is? does anyone recommend another fan?

Best case fans imo are the 120mm NMB-MAT These are basically Panaflo

They push 114cfm @ 42db 12v but on 7v the push 66 and are pretty damn quiet

and the best 80mm fan is the akasa amber series IMO

i think i like the 'Thermaltake Smart Case Fan II 80mm' very powerful 80mm and comes with pci fan control so i can control the volume of the fan. any own this fan? is it good?
