As I cant see there being a massive swing in votes in the LB thread figured I'd move onto the next position, in terms with the final team as the CB position covers two spots the two who get the most votes will make it into the team (short of removing who I suspect will win from the vote entirely it's the only way I can think of doing it)

I'd like the nominate the following;

Coloccini
Kompany
Skrtel
Agger
Terry
Gary Cahill
Rio Ferdinand
Vidic
Vermaelen
Other (couldn't decide who was more deserving between Koscielny & Lescott)

For those teams who only have one defender nominated I've tried to go with who I've read supporters of that club mention the most. No doubt they'll still be those who moan but cant please everyone :)

A reminder of what the team looks like at the moment;

---------------Hart---------------
Ivanovic---???---???---A.Cole
???---------???---???---------???
------------???---???------------

Once again if a mod can make the poll :)

Are we voting on this season or simply who's the best CB? I ask because of the Skrtel/Agger stuff. Skrtel's been better this season but I'd still pick Agger ahead of him if I could only pick one of them.

Once again based overall and not just on this season. I'll ninja edit before Andy sees and include Agger as one of the votes for you :)

Kompany or Vidic for me. I rate Vermaelan but he's got fitness issues, Coloccini had a great year but I don't rate that highly generally speaking, then there is always Koscielny who some rate as one of the greatest CBs to have ever graced the prem... ;):p

Kompany/Vidic.

I'm surprised, that was just as easy as the LB choice. Naturally my one vote will be going to Vidic, will be a crime if Kompany doesn't end up in there as well though.

Kompany tied with Vidic.

Voting for Vidic just because they're pretty much equal and there's no multi-vote option. :p

You could just call it CB1 and then do a CB2 poll with the same people but omit the winner. Stretches it out too :p

If like the goalie one is based on past few years Kompany/Vidic, if this year Kompany/Skrtel/Agger, any would do.
Why not just pick who you think is the best? Strange idea I know :p.

If someone has been around for one season, but in that time done enough to make you think they're the best, then I don't see what's wrong with that. Likewise if someone has been doing it for many years, but arguably not been the clear best this season, you could still think they're the best player in their given position (Ashley Cole would be an example of this).

I don't think setting arbitrary time barriers achieves anything, it's simply who do we judge to be the best player in each position. How we make those judgements is the part that's different for each individual voter.

Doesn't seem like that will be necessary with how the vote is going so far, although I am holding back mine for potential tactical voting should it be needed :p.

Has to be Kompany, not sure who else though. Wish Vidic hadn't been injured for most of this season as that would make it nice and simple.

Honestly the best defender in the premiership was Laurent Koscielny, for me no doubt, he was vital for Arsenal and without him they would have let in even more goals than they did lol. He also scored some vital ones

Well time barriers are important, or else I could be voting for Carragher from 5 years ago.

Also it is a tough call to pick one, although I voted Kompany as he doesn't have moments of sheer stupidity like Vidic. Also there are completely different types of CBs, e.g. Kompany and Vidic may be the best, but a combination of Kompany/Agger would work better imo so it isn't an easy choice, particularly with one vote.
