Best Compact/CSC For ~£400

Whoever said this was like Eastenders doesn't know how right they were.

So I got in on Monday night, grabbed my new credit card and went to the site. Out of Stock. Bah! So I emailed the guy I'd heard from and asked if he'd saved me a unit. It was late, so I didn't expect an answer.

Next day, about 10pm I'm thinking....hmmm, no answer. I'll check the site - and the price had increased by £130 overnight! Although they now had stock. I could feel my blood beginning to boil, but waited another hour for him to respond. Nothing.

I sent a polite email enquiring about the current position and got an immediate answer. Sorry - your order yesterday, which was cancelled, took stock out of the system and brought us to zero units. Yes, the price has increased (despite saying it was "highly doubtful") but he'd had a word with his director and they would honour the price I'd originally discussed with them due to our conversation the day before.

I had to pay the extra £130 but it got refunded almost immediately - and my new camera should be delivered today...

Once it's here, I guess I should put something in the new gear thread :D
 
It's clear one of the following situations has happened.

1) Pookie Bear never made a decision and is leading us all on

2) Pookie Bear opened his package (snigger) and has had a heart attack from pure excitement in the process and is now suffering a long term coma.

3) Pookie Bear is unable to open the package as his hands are shaking too much from excitement, and thus will shortly have a heart attack from pure excitement, inevitably putting himself in a long term coma.

Poor sod.

All this excitement is making me realise that I need to actually make a decision and order something! :D

Thinking I'll have a shiny new EPL-5 with me soon...
 
I have a loaf of Hovis at home and I'm pretty sure the GX7 is breadcrumb-proof, so suitable pics could be arranged :D

I have opened my package and now I'm waiting for lunch so I can officially get it out and wave it around (ooer) - all I've done so far is charge the battery to full :D
