Best console-style gamepads for the PC?

Wow, thanks for all the replies guys. I guess I'll try a 360 pad then given how many people recommended it! Not sure why it's any worse for fotty games that the PS2 pad as someone said, potentially due to the single analogue stick?

Anyway thanks again and I'll go and start trying to find a bargain.

Um, it has two

I think its for people that play with the D pad, as the 360's isn't as good. But i play with the stick, which is far superior on 360 so it suits me. Cant say i've used the d-pad for a game for several years so im going by others comments.

Got 2 USB converters here:

Can use either an N64 pad or a PSX pad by flipping a switch.

Awesome for playing N64 emulated games. Better than the real thing.

I am still using the old MS SideWinder Game pad, it does the job very well for me. Although may have to look into the 360 pad, the reviews are quite good so far.
