Best controller for emulators & some pc games?

the dualshocks have the best d-pad by far :)

I'm not knocking the 360 pad - I've had my wireless one just arrived this morning - but I couldn't play snes/genesis/mame games without a dualshocks d-pad!

The 360 pad has better analogue sticks, and much better support, so is better for more modern games. Both pads have their uses :)

You know, I actually can't decide which is a better pick, the 360 or the PS2 pad. At this rate, I think I might just go and write my own drivers to support the Wii's Classic Controller! :p
 
Got the wired 360 pad, tried N64 and works pretty well.. also tried Zsnes but as everybody else said, isnt so good since sometimes it registers as pressing down when pressing right for instance.

Shame there arent any easy ways to fix the dpad on the 360 controller, it also feels a little too far over imo
 
god i just saw my PS3 controller in the other room on top of my PS3 and realised it uses USB.

Then i searched google and can see you can use it on the PC lol

360 pad for 3d games + PS3 pad for 2d games?

just need to look for some drivers now
 
i use a 3 in 1 PC Joy Box, lets me use either a Sega Saturn, Dreamcast or PS2 pad on my pc. Used to use a Saturn pad but now use on of the Street Fighter 2 15th anniversay ps2 pads for emulators. Best pads going for some old school action imo :)
