I have the antec kuhler 920, with 2 viper fans on either side.
the bundled software doesn't seem to allow to change speeds of the fans manually. Does anyone know which is the best free software to use to do this?

I've seen speedfan, but apparently can be hard to set up, if anyone could guide me?

Thanks

I've been using speedfan myself, and it's fairly easy to set up once you know what you're looking for. But when you first get into the config screen, it looks pretty daunting I know.

I was helping someone to set it up yesterday actually, so you could give this thread a read and see if it helps you out:

If not, then post the other questions you might have and I'll be happy to try and help you out :)

Hi, thanks for that,

I have clicked advanced and clicked the down arrow to select my mobo, but these options looks weird:

Would i select the intel core option?

Thanks

edit. nothing comes up in, intel.

But this comes up on one option:

In that picture I think you'll need the PWM 1, 2 and 3 mode's all set to software controlled. Then in the main screen you should be able to set them to whatever you want (and that will be reflected in the RPM of the fan), or you can head into the temps/speeds screens and start tinkering with settings so that the fans change depending on the temp of the CPU.

But basically just change those 3 to software controlled and tick the remember it button for each one.

Ok, let me know how it goes, and if you have any other problems :)

Hi again, i've given it a look, and can't see those options, this is what it's showing:

I click on the manually controlled to see if I could do anything, but when increasing the up arrows ect, nothing happens.

Thanks

Hmmm, if you set them all the manually controlled (the 3 pwm modes, clicking remember it for each one), then click ok, then untick 'automatic fan speed' in the main window, change all the cpu fan setting to 0, what RPM does it show?

Also, all the fans you have on you're cpu, are they connected via 4 pin to the mobo? Or 3 pin? And are you using the 'cpu-fan' connector for them?
