BEST CPU FANS/HEATSINK ON THE MARKET?

ok another question....ok i only have 1 4 pin connector free and 1 3 pin connector free say i want to put more fans in were do i plug them in? are there special adaptors?

Thinking of buying the ThermalRight SI-120 for my P4 3.4 Prescott just wondered about fan to go with it as just seen Antec Smart Cool 120mm Thermally Controlled Fan which cut's out the need for a fan controller just wondered if it would work ok.

people have tried running two fans on a scythe before and it's not really worth it.doesnt make much of a difference:)

I'm currently using the Zalman 7700 (120mm) but I'm looking at buying the Antec P180 and would like to set it up with a 120mm intake in the middle chamber, an intake fan on one side of the CPU heatsink, an exhaust on the other side, and a 120mm exhaust on the back of the case - giving a nice passage of air from the front to the back of the case. Are there any HSF that would allow this?

What is the cpu cooler that has a 120mm * 25mm fan sitting bang in the middle of all the heatsink fins (as opposed to stuck on one side)? I saw a review and it whopped all the rest of the coolers including all the big names. Odd - this is what the reviewer thought and retested it and came out the same.

Wish I bookmarked it like I have hundreds of other pages.

I've been looking at the Tuniq for weeks. They don't have a UK supplier, their European rep doesn't answer his emails. Their tech rep in the US referred me to a German site who don't take credit cards and want an IBAN transfer. They can be sent from the US but by the time you've paid the postage.... And I've tried to get some of the smaller (more exotic items as it were) retailers to stock it, no luck so far. So I gave up, for now.

Then the temp is too low as that borders Northwood temps. The Prescotts were notably hot on skt 478 so I expect the temps to be about 10C higher than reported but still very good temps ;).

used to swear by themalright, had a SP97 for years. cost a fortune at the time. when i got my new system i just plumped for the artic freezer pro and I am well impressed with it. there may be coolers that will be more effective by a couple of degrees or so, but for the money its amazing. silent too
