Using Freezer 7, wanting TRUE

I gotta say my Akasa 965 is a good cooler. It will keep my E8400 at 30c idle and under 57c load at 3.6Ghz.

Even at 4.1Ghz it keeps it below 65c on full load. Best bang for buck.

I would say the AS Freezer as it was/is cheap, standard fitting and not that big and was a massive upgrade from stock and normally the first 3rd party cooler people get (me included).

For me it's the Noctua NH-U12P but then I've never tried a TRUE as they had just gone out of stock when I bought, d'oh!

I have a TRUE as well and am quite happy with it.

I'll be going watercooled with my next build though.

TRUE is the best air cooler ive used on par with *water cooling if you can take the fan noise

*some watercooling setups will obviuosly be better or worse, but i would say a TRUE is definatly on par with a 120 RAD in terms of cooling.

The true looks good. Is there much of a difference between the Extreme version and the ordinary one?

Never actually used the standard version myself, but going by this reveiw, the extreme performed quite a bit more than the standard ultra.
