Best Exercise for Triceps

For at home I'd say bench dips are cool. http://www.exrx.net/WeightExercises/Triceps/WtBenchDip.html

You can do them with two chairs or even beds and put the dumbells on your legs.

For the gym I like close grip bench, double hand overhead extensions with a dumbell or dips. All really solid exercises for the triceps. I'm trying to focus on heavy close grip benches as my elbows and wrists cant really take weighted dips aswell as they use to.

I have developed a nice horse-shoe shape by using a natural tricep exercise. It doesn't use any equipment. I'll try to explain how to do it.

(This will train the left tricep; for the right, reverse the whole thing.)
Put your right arm by your side with the forearm pointed straight out, such that it is at ninety degrees with the upper arm. Palm up.
Move your left arm over and with its hand, grasp the wrist of your right arm such that your left palm completely covers the inside of your right wrist.
In that position, push down on your right arm with your left. Whilst maintaining that hold/force, move your right arm upwards and outwards.
You have to put a lot of effort into both actions*, such that your arms are working against each other, and you're only barely able to move the right arm upwards & outwards.
When you get to the point where you can't move the right arm any further, you should be feeling a powerful hit in your left tricep.
Hold for a slow count of ten. Then reverse the position, and again hold for ten. Do ten of each in one go, i.e. a slow count of a hundred split into ten lots of ten for each arm.

Do that once per day. (Make sure you have sufficient protein intake!) After a week you'll notice results.

*You should be really straining, a bit of sweat pouring after the first couple of minutes!

After heavy benching, overhead pressing and dips my triceps feel like they're about to explode!

Just stick to the heavy compound stuff for now, worry about the isolation lark when the bulk is in place and needs some fine tuning :)

cant do dips, but heavy well formed v bar pushdowns replace them.
otherwise its overhead extension/press as the only isolations for triceps.

personally i think you should do atleast 1 exercise over your head, be it standing/sitting or laying down (skullcrushers).
