Best film to scre the daylights out of my nephew...

Some good suggestions here. Definitely these:

In the Mouth of Madness
Child's Play
The Descent
[REC]
The Thing
The Fog (not the remake... dear god, not the remake)
The Blob (Chuck Russell)
Session 9

Some of the scariest/most scarring flicks about are actually foreign. How is he with subtitles?

I made all 3 of my cousins kids watch every episode of Nightmare on Elm St before they went to bed. They were ages, 6,8 and 11.

I then sellotaped knives onto my hand, crawl under their beds and scared them in their sleep.

:p

it'd be great if you could actually get the ring on a video tape, might add to the omfg factor. :p

another vote for the grudge though! if you're really sadistic, download that noise from the grudge, put on mp3 player and hook up to a mini battery operated speaker with 15/30minute interval's and hide it under his bed :) haha. i might try this myself.

the descent.
IT
I havent seen paranormal activity yet... but i'll recommend that too.
spanish rec :) shame about the subbys though.

The problem is that a lot of kids are really hardcore these days and I know, for me, IT would just be hilarious. Sites like 4chan and ******** have just dulled their senses.

If someone sits there and vehemently detaches themselves from a film, professing that NOTHING can scare them, they probably won't be scared.

His mum and dad's "Private Video".

Scare the bejesus out him so it will.

Secure him to the chair for extra counselling bonus.

I knew a guy at uni who once found a video of his parents involved in some poop related activities.

He got sectioned a few years back. Not sure whether one thing led to the other.

The ring on DVD has a secret menu option - when you select it you see the weird video that they watch during the movie - nail in a finger, box of dead flies or whatever nonsense.

It then goes back to the menu. 30 seconds later the phone rings - sadly it's an American ring so doesn't sound like your home phone - nice touch all the same.
