Best film to scre the daylights out of my nephew...

another vote for the grudge though! if you're really sadistic, download that noise from the grudge, put on mp3 player and hook up to a mini battery operated speaker with 15/30minute interval's and hide it under his bed :) haha. i might try this myself.

Been there, done that. My female housemate in uni had a love/hate relationship with that film, she liked being scared but was terrified by it at the same time.

One evening when she was out, my other housemate and I set the desktop background on her laptop to a creepy picture of the little boy from the film, and set the grudge noise as the Windows startup sound. She came back later that evening, went into her room in the dark, turned on her laptop, and all I could hear was screaming whilst I was lying on the floor in the hallway crying with laughter. :D

A year later after we watched the second one, I put the sound on my phone, set it as the ringtone, chucked it under her bed and called it about half an hour after she went to bed. :D

Id say the original exorcist...scared the living crap out of me when i was about 12....my uncle forced me and my 2 younger bros to watch it:p.

Also drag me to hell is another scary movie...had me jumping in the cinema a couple of yrs ago...definitely have a look at paranormal activity...the first one and not the second one....wasnt as scary as the first in all honesty.

Orphan.
I was on edge watching it. He would be quite scared.

I hated that film. I wanted to punch that little ****, she annoyed me si much that i spent the whole film being angry and frustraeted and then continued to be angry for a while after the the film had finnished. My brother had nightmares. :D :p

REC without a doubt! Me and a couple mates watched it a while back not really knowing what it was about.. Had us all ****ing ourselves! I still remember the part when he puts his head up into the loft and scans around with the camera every time I open my loft hatch.. :(

The remake wasn't as good in my opinion (Quarantine), so make sure its the Spanish version you watch!

Paranormal Activity scared the crap out of my missus so that might be worth a watch too. Had endless fun scratching the side of the bed and pretending it wasn't me after we'd watched that! :D

REC 2 is pretty good too. Not as good as the first IMO, but still worth a watch.

I wouldn't bother with Event Horizon as even though it's a good film, I think (possibly) a 13 year old would get well bored during the first 45 mins or so, where nothing really much happens.

Seriously guys, it's 2011, old films don't scare kids at all nowadays. The ring/grudge may be a good idea but to be honest I doubt most kids would find them that scary/haunting.
