Best flying war game?

Try the IL-2 Sturmovik series - '1946' is the latest and contains the main game plus all the previous expansions.

X2

But it may be a bit serious for him.

There was one a while back called something like "heroes of the pacific" or something, which was very pretty and quite "arcadey".....ie jump in, fly, shoot folks.

For LOADS of fun and a surprisingly real (up to a point) flight experience....you can't beat Airfix Dogfighter......battle spits and hurricanes against BF109's and stukkas....in the kitchen, bathroom, living room, you name it. It's old and will run on anything too.

^ Crikey, I didn't know there was a sequel....I used to have a great time in AH, even though I was completely useless at flying and just drove bombers around. Have to have a look at that, last time I played it was about 2001!

Me and a friend started playing it late last year and early this year again, it really was awesome. Graphics were terrible though but you kinda forget they look poor when your dog fighting hehe.

So does the IL-2 Sturmovik series - '1946' contain all previous versions, or do I need to find a 'complete edition'?

I ask as there seem to be a few boxed version around.

Thanks

IL2 1946 contains everything that is available excepting add on campaigns and patches. It is the only version you need.
