Best game ever.

As soon as I saw the thread title Zelda: Ocarina of Time came to mind. I remember how there was the shortage when it came out and had such a great Christmas playing it, even watching someone else play it was amazing.

At the resident evil 4 question, if you're gonna get it. I'd recommend getting it on PC. You can upgrade the textures to that of the Gamecube, which were better than the PS2 version. All the extras are there from both versions, and theres a weapon thats available on neither console version. A laser. Also it works perfectly with the 360 pad. :) Oh and it'll be cheap as chips on PC. From experiencing playing all 3 through to finish, i'd rate them like this:

gamecube version > PC version > PS2 version

The visuals are a must, and the PS2 just doesnt hold up

4 way tie between Final Fantasy VII (PC), Deus Ex (PC), Zelda OoT (N64/Gamecube) & the original GTA (PC).

These are the games I have fondest memories of :)

I'd say with the PC version, you can apply mods which increase the resolution of the textures so that it looks better than both the GC and PS2. However, the PC port taken from the PS2 version therefore the shaders, lighting and polygon count is lower than the GC version.

So I'd agree with your rating of the visuals - GC > PC > PS2.

However the PC version does allow you to run the game at 1080p.:)
Shame you can't bypass the games 30fps cap though...

For me Personally

Panzer Dragoon Saga. Spent such a long time playing it and it was an amazing fair-well to my beloved Saturn. Didn't have a guide but managed to find all the D-Units to get my Light Wing! It just seemed so Epic

Impossible for me to answer since there are so many. Mgs1, fable 1, gta 3, goldeneye, halo 2, wolfenstein, allied assault, heavy rain, crash bandicoot 1, yakuza 3 are some

Personally Choices would be Final Fantasy 8 on console and Age of Empires 2 on PC.

Simply due to them sucking up many many hours of my time.

Halo 2 or Gears of War 2 for me don't get much time to game nowadays so like something I can jump in and out off without having to remember a long and intense story line.

StarCraft

My favourite game of all time alongside these:

Double Dragon, Gunstar Heroes, Halo: Combat Evolved and Rome: Total War.

I put in more hours into StarCraft and Halo than any other games I've ever played.

Ocarina of Time is so ridiculously overrated.

by your perception perhaps. but given the amount of times its been mentioned in here perhaps not?

its also get my vote. just a brilliant game.

goldeneye on N64 gets my multiplayer vote.

Horde mode on gears was soooo addictive.

Never got into halo.

Lol, how on earth did I forget about Goldeneye on the N64.
Without a doubt the best multiplayer game the system and probably one of my all-time favourite multiplayer games.

Zelda OoT was just gaming perfection.

I would love for Nintendo to do a high-definition remake on their next console and I'm sure there would be more than enough demand to warrant such a remake as quite clearly OoT is regarded as the best Zelda game of all time.

I remembered playing the excellent Resident Evil 4 on the Gamecube and being wowed by the graphics and also thinking at the same time "wouldn't it be great to play OoT again using this game engine".:)
