A few years back we had a Mario Kart tournament that ended up lasting a week. A LOT of beer was consumed. Me and one of my housemates almost got teeth knocked out by another housemate who boomeranged a controller around the room when he narrowly lost a match

Mario Kart on the SNES is the best multiplayer game of all time. By a country mile.

The best overall game? Mmmm based on playability, longevity, graphics (for the time), coin-op conversion etc. Street Fighter 2 Turbo

been playing games for more years than i care to remember and not possible for me to have a best of all time.

as soon as i think of one (Star Raiders), another pops into my head (Rescue on Fractalus). then another (Great American Cross Country Road Race) etc.etc. etc..

Street fighter 2 turbo is going to be purchased now as I have just had my birthday money :) £5 well spent on ebay
 
Goldeneye for me. It defined split screen gaming. I put so many hours into that game, can't see me doing that again. Oh and it was a right laugh with mates.
 
Ah theres so many. RE2. FF7. Ocerina Of Time. Super Mario Kart on Snes. Sonic 1/2

But I'd probably say Super Mario 3 on Nes.

Goldeneye has my fondest MP memories. Such amazing MP, even with only 4 people! had loads of awesome proximity mine kills :D
