Whoa - when's a new Nintendo coming out?! You mean Nintendo might leapfrog the others and actually have the most powerful console for some period of time?? Awesome - been a loooong time!

Tbh, they should never have moved from the Gamecube, that console produced some very good looking games [Star Fox: Adventures, Mario Sunshine, Zelda: Twilight Princess etc.] and i hope the Wii 2 is good because i could do with an update from my Gamecube.

I think the lighting/colours etc are rubbish on the retail Crysis

I have to say I sort of agree with some of the Crysis 2 positive comments - yes Crysis one looks very high res textures, lots of detail etc etc - but all looks a bit drab and flat IMO - wheras Crysis 2 is very very glossy looking, the effects of weapons in particular those of the enemy are very striking indeed

Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead has the best graphics I've seen. Here are a couple of in-game shots that I've taken:

Arrowhead is not bad, but the cities are more impressive then the plants which Crysis did best of all.
2 might be more glitzy but 1 had the better graphics from what Ive seen

Obviously agreed on Crysis, Metro & JC2... I'm gonna throw in Tomb Raider Underworld, Lost Planet 2 & Resident Evil 5, all really stunning games and also very well optimized.

Never got on with Arma 2 personally. The graphics were weird and blurry and it ran like crap even on my 570, plus the gameplay was horrific. It was like they got half way with it then gave up and put it out with unbelievably bad voice acting, shocking controls and ridiculously complex mechanics. No thanks

EDIT: Forgot to mention Far Cry 2... surprised nobody mentioned that tbh. Also the 2008(?) Prince of Persia. It's cartoonish but really stunning

Another vote for Crysis and Metro. I was playing Metro last night with everything set to the maximum, including dx11. Great experience, ran dx11 so much better than the 4870X2 ever could at dx10.

-Far Cry 2.
-Lord Of The Rings Online.
-Battlefield: Bad Company 2.
-Borderlands.
-Drift 2.
-Dragon Age 1 & 2.
-Mass Effect 1 & 2.
-Dead Space 1 & 2.
-Need For Speed: Shift 1 and Undercover, Carbon and Most Wanted also look rather good.
-Jedi Knight: Jedi Outcast i still think looks good and has dated well, also, The Force Unleashed 1 & 2 as well.

Agreed. The explosions are good. But other than that the graphics are pretty weak.
