best gfx card for these games ?

About the cost of a 2nd 6970 ;)

Keep your single 6970, rebuild system using bits below and your framerate in games will improve considerably

i don't realy feel like stripping this system not been built long tbh , so no single gfx card for £350ish would improve my performance while i have the 1100T based system ?

Even if you stuck in a 590 you wouldn't see as big as difference as the upgrade I suggested imo. It's take a few hours at most.

if its for bf3 here we go

your cpu shouldnt bottleneck your card at your res . in bf3 the cpu speed after a decent quad shouldnt matter too much. youll end up spending 350 quid to upgrade and notice next to nothing in fps change unless your current stuff is faulty. in some cases the p2 you have is actually a few fps quicker in bf3 lol

This, absolutely this ^^^^

confirm if there is a problem with your CPU.

with a 6970 on Ultra without MSAA you should get (in BF3 multiplayer) lowest like 45 and going up to the 80s averaging in the 70s.

If you're not getting that then there is a problem with your setup.

Just buying a new CPU and mobo as DG says could very well be a complete waste of money.

not much in it though so is it worth it ? , anyways i just downloaded cinebench 11.5 and the results are below . is the results any good ?

thats faster than the 6970 i have @930/1400 in the opengl test in cinebench

Guess the CPU is helping out then.

but how fast is it in games you play ;) 6970 in some games clocked is nearly twice as fast .

Don't think so. My 5850 is at 970MHz right now, a 6970 at similar clock speeds is much faster, but nowhere near twice.
