Hi, i've been out of the gaming scene for a while and when I had my pc the best graphics game was Crysis, well I recently upgraded my monitor to a 1080P TV so I was wondering what games has the best graphics of any PC game at the moment? Is it still Crysis?

So pc graphics haven't improved at all during my 2 year break? :S So what is the point of all these new graphics cards for over half a grand...

It's not that graphics aren't getting better, it's just that Crysis is freakishly ahead of the pack.

Ahh, well it was a big jump from anything out even back then so I suppose it'll take time to catch up, how are the new systems handling Crysis FPS wise running max settings? I need a upgrade whats the best bang for buck? I only have 4gm ram, 8800gt 512mb and a E5200 dual core I believe.

Crysis graphics don't actually impress me as much as say ME2, ME2 still uses Directx9 and looks amazing, imagine if it used DX10 and 11, it would destroy Crysis.

I'm quite content with how my machine handles Crysis on very high with similar specs, albeit @ 1440x900 at around 25-30fps.

I guess it would be wise to see what happens to GPU prices when the Fermis come out, but I just built my mate a £700 PC (ATI 5850, i5 750, 4gb RAM) that runs it at a much higher res, very high at a flawless frame rate.

Crysis runs on Dx9 and technically does way way more than ME2. Adding DX10/11 to ME would do next to nothing and certainly wouldn't destroy Crysis. I think you prefer the art direction, which I can understand.

Crysis certainly has impressive graphics but I don't think it's that far out on its own. There are some other graphically impressive titles like as someone said, ME2.

It's not that they haven't improved, Crysis raised the "bar" and more and more games have been getting closer to the standard it set.

Assassin's Creed.
Crysis+Crysis Warhead.
Fallout 3.
Grand Theft Auto 4.
Resident Evil 5.
Stalker COP.
Mass Effect 2.

Crysis still beats all though but i wouldn't say by a huge margin, i think Assassin's Creed is quite impressive and Mass Effect 2.(Resident Evil 5 also looks great in some areas especially if maxed with 8xaa or more.)

Took a look at this Metro 2033 that you are all raving about, didn't see anything special there, what makes you say it is the next big thing (Graphics wise)?

I get about 27fps in Crysis and about 34fps in Warhead with my rig (see sig) at stock settings. DX10, VHigh, 1680x1050 and noAA are the settings I use in both games.

only had a small go on warhead but from what i saw the only reason warhead ran better than crysis itself was that the graphics weren't as good.

could be possible that i didn't run it on full though. :p

Agreed, it's really not that impressive. Screens lie though so I'll reserve final judgement for when I've played it myself.
