** BEST, HOTTEST, LOWEST PRICE 980Ti DEAL IN THE WORLD! £319.99 DELIVERED!!!

Is this good upgrade over a gtx970 for 1080p gaming 144hz monitor?

Yes.

And also darn these temptations. Thing is that I move out due to a new job next month so I'll have the room to buy a new monitor to make the most of a GPU like this... for my wallet's sake I hope these deals don't last till mid-September. Otherwise my 970 may be on it's way out...

Haha, horribly tempting but it won't fit my case... Any recommendations for a red and white case this will fit in that is £50 or less? :p

Edit, or red and black, or just white :p

Can,someone confirm this definitely definitely will fit my p400s?

If this site is correct (below) and I'm looking at the right case the measurements for the gpu are

Graphic card

395 mm (15.2 in)
280 mm (11.0 in) Optional HDD brackets installed

http://benchmarkreviews.com/34598/phanteks-eclipse-p400-case-review/

The OCUK site doesn't state the size of the card but again google has said its

Card Length

328.2mm x 133.1mm

taken from here

So to answer your question its a Yes as long as you don't have the optional HHD brackets installed

Where would this 908Ti fall on the GTX 1000 scale?

At max overclock the 980Ti is slighty faster than a clocked 1070 but slower than a 1080.

This may change as new tech comes in, especially VR and maybe DX12, I think pascal is very heavily maxwell based so I don't know that a 1070 has much of an advantage over a 980Ti in DX12.

There's no way I'll be spending the kind of money to get a 1080.

Today I was going to buy a 1060 MSI Gaming X but then I seen this offer. What stops me immediately buying the 908Ti is the concern of noise, temperature, warranty (Zotac, not the 5 years) and DX12 performance. Should I not be concerned?

Then again, if I could justify a 1070 I would get one of those. I cannot currently say they are worth it for me sicne I plan on sticking with 1080p for a long time. I do think I'll be trying out 144Hz soon though to hit higher FPS on less intensive games.

I haven't got the case with me as someone elseisf building it for me. When it says optional hdd brackets does that mean ones for extra hdds or the ones it uses as standard.
I'm assuming extra??

Got the exact same card, bought it for £500 like 7 months ago. Damn.
Got the Amp Extreme for near £600.

If you buy top of the range you have to appreciate it will devalue pretty damn fast. Especially when we were so close to the release of Pascal.

Volta is apparently another equal leap as Pascal. So I'm content to sit on my single 980ti for now. By the time SLI will really matter hopefully Volta will be close to being out. A man can dream right? :p

Excellent price though!

Do OCUK cover the five year warranty?

Nice one and good to see you around these parts and to answer the previous posters questions yes we cover the 5yr warranty term. :)
After 28 days would a GPU needing an RMA be sent back to Hong Kong? The reason I mention this is because the UK based call centre no longer accept any RMA's. All customers now have to send their cards direct to Hong Kong.

Yeah a nicely clocked 980 Ti is roughly in the middle of a 1070 and 1080, These 980 Ti's are a steal.

Great price!

I was hovering over the £359 1070 Palit card and was undecided whether to spend an extra £20 for the Jetstream.

So either low end cooler on 1070 or high end cooler on 980Ti.

I wouldn't call the jetstream a low end cooler - it's 2.5 slots thick and from what I've seen/heard that extra size not only keeps temps down but also allows very quiet operation!
