Best instant coffee?

I like Douwe Egberts Gold, but they're generally about the same, as long as you avoid the obviously rubbish ones. It's a freeze dried chopped up coffee bean; it's never going to be as good as proper coffee.

Asda doing a offer of carte denoir atm the big packs 2 for a fiver iirc.

I like the carte stuff and i get the sada goldblend stuff which is similar to nescafes goldblend which is nice too.

Like kenco i think but its a bit pricey usually. I tend to try to not pay more than £2 per jar of coffee.

Have tried nescafe cappachino packs where u get the sachets and just add water then spring the choclate power u get with em on top, the skinny ones are nice.

The alta rica or whatever were ok but i dont think they were that special tbh just nice change when other ones i get are a bit pricy that week as when i tried em they were on offer for 2 quid a jar or maybe a tad less.

I drink decaf for health reasons now. Could anyone recommend a good one please? I wouldn't drink it from choice but needs must.

Another vote for Alta Rica. It's strong and tastes like coffee, the house instant here. I don't don't think there is another that comes close to it.

I am no coffee connoisseur and certainly not a snob, but using a French press with beans (I buy pre ground) is infinitely nicer than instant in my opinion, the two are not recognisable!

do not buy that starbuck microground its carp

I actually think that's the best instant coffee you can buy. It's far too expensive though. Most instants taste like pencil sharpenings to me.

I usually have a pod of the Dulco Gusto Americano. Half fill a glass with full fat milk, whack in the microwave for a minute then top up with the Americano shot.
