I've had a microsoft mouse for 4 years now and the scroll has finally gone and brought down the laser with it:( Because of this I really need a new mouse between £30-£40 for gaming and general desktop use. Any ideas welcome.

:O may order one Monday since my mouse is being annoying.

What about the Logitech G500 Gaming Mouse?

What about the Logitech G500 Gaming Mouse?

The G500 is very good, and it is also just a few pounds more then the MX518, so that would be what my money would buy if I needed one at the moment.

Also, depending on how many buttons you require, a CM Storm Inferno and the Sharkoon FireGlider (probably in black...) may be a better bet than the MX518. The G500 is good at that price, but apparently the buttons aren't all that great (wear out quickly).

Oh, and I've got an MX518 - when they were the only decent mouse at £30.

I had a 518, was alright, would buy again. But I prefered the mx300/310 style personally.

What's the best bluetooth wifi mouse? To use with my mbp / htpc..

G500 or CM Storm Inferno or Sharkoon FireGlide.

Latter two get brilliant reviews. The Inferno can be had for ~£30 and the Sharkoon for ~£25.

Probably G500. I like to tout the Sidewinder X8 whenever I get the chance as it's awesome. £4 over budget though. But it is wireless!

Is it really that good? lol Logitech must have made millions from that mouse with the amount of times you guys say to get it lol.. even I want one now lol

On most spec me a mouse threads this one is mentioned first. I've had mine for about 3/4 years now and its perfect. Glad they're still popular so I can buy another if mine somehow breaks. :D

So could anyone explain exactly why the MX815 is so masterful?

I use the Reaper Edge and it's a phenomenal mouse. You can pick one up for fourty quid.
