Best Music Player?

I got a question for foobar users.

Is it possible to make it play .wma files at all?

WMP10, all my music is sorted nicely by artist alphabetically down the right hand side, an amazing search function, dont see what wrong with it.

Agree, its neat and tidy, which is what I like.

you dont have to spend hours with it:confused: and it does virtually everything you want it to out of the box.

download Columns_ui, find a skin you like and that's it.

5 minutes.

Where can you find some decent, ready made skins?

Been using MP10 and fancy giving something else a go.

Another one of these threads...

Foobar is popular on here because people like the customisibility.

Same with WinAMP. Very customisable. But a bit easyier to get into than Foobar imo.

WMP10 isnt as bad as people make out. With 3 lightweight codec packs installed onto the system, ffdshow, ogg filter & AC3 filter, WMP10 will play anything. Its relativly light resource wise. A few extra Mb compared to foobar, but in this day and age, it doesnt bother me, as the system is still very responsive.

iTunes is good as a pure music player.

VLC is good because it plays anything & everything.

-----
I personally use iTunes for my music. VLC to play 'odd' files & WMP10 to play videos.

For sound quality, I tend to use WinAmp 2.91 with the MAD plugin.

And WMP10 for organising etc - although I am not too bothered about that aspect, as I don't have that many music files (less than 3000, I would guess)

MusicMatch, check. Really didn't like that actually. iTunes, check. RealPlayer, check.

Always been a fan of Winamp ever since I discovered it. I'm interested as to how you got K-Lite Mega working. I installed it so that WMP10 could run more files, just so I could see if I prefered it to VLC. Well WMP10 ran pretty well but Winamp just went crazy, so out went K-Lite Mega/WMP10.

I actually think MusicMatch's sound quality is the best i've yet to hear. It also has a simple and good looking interface.

iTunes for my music, MP10 for my video and VLC for anything that's just plain stubborn!
