Looking to record segments from CS series, for me and my mate. We like to set up challenges for one another so I'd like to record these clips into a video.
I know about FRAPS but is there something free and equal?
The main thing would be to auto-write over, say for instance its recorded a game that I dont wish to keep, it will not create a 2nd file, or just 1 really huge file of all games played. Can I just set a max file size?

I'm not sure if you can set it to auto overwrite on Fraps but if you're tight on space then you could always record a demo on either game then Fraps that when you have got the right clip. This won't be that useful if you intend to do live commentary over the clips though, as the demo will only record game sound.

It'd be just "record cs1"
To stop the recording type "stop" in console.
To view the demo recordings, type "demoui" in console and click load and navigate to the relevant .dem file.
