best patio cleaner

A bit?! How many millions (billions?) of litres of drinking quality water are wasted washing things that don't actually - if we're being honest - need washing? People washing their patios, driveways and cars for godsakes when the reality is they could all be done with much less water and a bit of elbow grease, and quite frankly who on earth needs to wash their car?

Yawn

He might have a point if we were in California or somewhere that actually had a shortage of fresh water.

We are blessed to live in a country where most of the time large quantities of fresh, drinkable water falls out of the sky at regular intervals.

I'd be much more concerned about pouring bleach over my patio and letting it leach into the soil.

agree that's my concern that it will kill the adjacent grass,

even though the bleach will get into the pores of the slabs better than a pressure washer, which is all I've used so far to combat black mold/lichen.

I always find the patio cleaning head for the Karcher to be a load of rubbish. The high pressure nozzle attachment works much better for me

Your every day pressure washer that’s under £200 is pretty dire. You can usually hold the lance in one hand while activated which is fine for washing soap off cars or a bit of light patio cleaning. The patio cleaning heads are a complete waste of time too as the water pressure is nowhere near enough to properly clean anything.

Agree. That reminds me, it will soon be time to clean the patio for me as well.
I do the bins once a month as well, and the cars.

The patio cleaner for my P150 works really well, you can't hold onto it with only one hand it will just take off, need to put some weight behind it to keep it on the ground.

Is bleach good for black lichen style spots? I've been pressure washing mine recently but i've got quite a few black spots which just won't go away. I've seen a few spcific products i'm tempted to try.

I agree it's not the best cleaner in the world, but they do work fine for a patio. So long as you use the high pressure nozzle! Gets the job done

Ive got block paving and you really need to do each stone brick individually otherwise water goes everywhere, uneven and sand is dislodged...... its a nightmare!
