Best player in each premiership team

You're the first person to agree with me.

When i saw him start for fulham the other month, i said the exact same about him playing in a similar style to Henry.

I dont know if i would consider him our best player though..Dempsey/Bullard/Davies for me. Although i do think he is a good player, but seems to be more of a winger in the premiership..need him to score like he did last season.

he has been compared to henry for a long time - from his move from modena to pompey at first. it was then they realised he lacked finesse in finishing. he then went on to improve it somewhat, no doubt helped by the inferior championship. he has shown improvement and will do some good things, but is no way a steady performer or dependable. played in the wings to cover for his other inadequacies.

Personally, I think Diomansy Kamara at £6m, was a disgusting waste of money.

a lot of fulham's money has not been spent wisely. not all terrible but could have done better. cannot believe they spent 20 million over the summer, with more to come by all accounts

Dont forget they made a hefty lot of that back.

Sanchez has said hes spending again in January. Rumour is theres atleast £10m left.

I wouldnt say waste, but i wouldnt pay £6m. Although seems to be the average for a striker nowadays :(.

As a Villa fan, I was quite upset to see Steven Davis go as he showed a lot of promise 2 seasons ago - last season he struggled to get regular football and perhaps both the club and the player needed to move on. However, I have been really surprised in the few times I have seen Fulham play, or highlights of them, in his passing seems to of deteriorated - how do the fans rate him?

Makes me wonder - a couple of weeks ago, some on here were calling Gabby Agbonlahor worth only half of the £15m the Paper's have rated him at - based on Kamara's valuation, I would treble it!

I am indeed, really looking forward to it.

I thought in the first two games he looked great..since then, im suprised hes made the first team (now that is saying something). His passing has been getting increasingly worse. He works hard, but his passing is terrible as of late.

The Man Utd game took that even further, that was a disgrace.

One thing im really annoyed about is Smertin, hes not injured and is fit, and hasnt been picked for the last few games.

I wouldnt pay £15m for Gabby, however £4-9m is what it should be.

For Kamara id say £2-4.5m or so.

Healy is a great deal for the money..but not showing the goods yet.

i am actually a villa fan as well. i thought highly of davis myself but alas he has not shown any semblance of that form. i think he looked good in a struggling villa side and when we picked up he faltered. but i also think he needs a run in the fulham side to get back to his best. he used to be so busy in the game

Like you say, I think he thrived in a team struggling, and with the likes of Lee Hendrie around him, he was always going to shine!

Same as last season then. I'm going again too :)

Oh cool.

You support Newcastle i take it (i really need to learn who supports who).

Im looking forward to the Newcastle, they always seem to be the good games along with Utd, Chelsea (bring on new year), Liverpool and Arsenal.

Martins last season was frightening.

Yeah, I spoke to you last season about going to the game where you beat us 2-1 at the cottage. Missed Martins goal that game :(

Sorry for derail.

Arsenal: Cesc Fabregas
Aston Villa: Gareth Barry
Birmingham City: Seb Larsson
Blackburn Rovers: Brad Friedel
Bolton Wanderers: Nicolas Anelka
Chelsea: Frank Lampard Jr
Derby County: Rob Earnshaw
Everton: Tim Cahill
Fulham: Jimmy Bullard
Liverpool: Steven Gerrard
Manchester City: Micah Richards
Manchester United: Cristiano Ronaldo
Middlesbrough: Jonathon Woodgate
Newcastle United: Shay Given
Portsmouth: Sol Campbell
Reading: Nicky Shorey
Sunderland: Craig Gordon
Tottenham Hotspur: Robbie Keane
West Ham United: Scott Parker
Wigan Athletic: Jason Koumas

I'd have like to have gone for the Scandis Forssell, Niemi and Ljungberg based on career form, but they haven't done much of late.

Toughest choices for me were probably Birmingham, Fulham and West Ham (pretty obvious bearing in mind the above statement!)

I personally can't understand anyone who hasn't gone for Bullard at Fulham, forgetting injuries he has the quality to deservedly belong in any of the top 4 squads, one of the most underated players in the league imo.

Dempsey is quality on his day too. But agreed Bullard is the one.

as you say long term injury has limited his exposure. plus will take time to get back his excellent form.

however, think you are a bit overly ambitious in claiming he would do well in the top 4 sides. yes he is underrated, but you seem to be making up for the imbalance with you over rating of him :)

plus he only had once excellent season - not the greatest indicator.

for a midtable team of course he was excellent - really clever and creative.

i think what hardens the blow is that petrov has been equally as poor. so a lot of villa fans wouldn't have minded him staying.

How do you compare a "flair" player like Ronaldo to a tough as nails player like Vidic (for example)

Of course as often as not the flair is going to be seen more often, but imo they are equally "the best" in their own position.
