As title suggests, what’s the best bottled lager iyo for the summer in terms of thirst quenching ability and taste?

I used to quite enjoy an ice cold Fosters gold, but they’re gone now and I find lagers like Corona and Desperado a bit too sweet and sickly after a couple.

Any other ideas? Preferably something around the 4-4.5% mark, so that it can be drunk throughout the day.

I quite like Heineken for that kind of thing.

Stuff like Moretti/Tiger etc is delicious but doesn't always hit that refreshing spot for me. Feels a little heavier.

Does it have to be a lager? On a hot day i love a good Erdinger.

That's sticking to the more mainstream offerings. The craft world is a whole new ball game :p

I like a cold Heineken (5%), also it's quite cheap, bought a pack of 12 bottles for about £9 recently.

Estrella is also nice and I think Amstel is good as well for a refreshing beer.

I do like other's but as said above some can be a bit heavy on a Summer's day.

I'm going to try a pilsner next, one I haven't tried is Pravha, supposed to be light and refreshing.

I've kinda gone off the lagers in recent years with much more variety in the craft beers available now - really like the saison style for summer days, and it's usually a nice abv for drinking lots...
big fan of the caesar augustus from william bros which is half ipa half lager. (or the birds and bees is a nice light summer beer too) - schehallion (or however you spell it!) also good crisp and refreshing...
On just lager, camden pils is pretty good and there's a couple of the thornbridge ones that are good (can't remember names off the top of my head)

Yeah a saison or goze really refreshing.

Tempest Helles is a nice pilsner.

I taste vomit in my mouth with some of these lagers being mentioned.

If I'm going to drink a lager it will have to be something decent like Weihenstephaner or Augustiner

Craft beers for me, usually a best bitter for a session beer as they are low on the abv.
Gave up lager about 6 years ago.

Recently tried a helles which was very nice (Cloudwater brewery) so might order a few various types of those.

I find mass produced beers to suffer in quality and are a last resort.
