Best Router For Low SNR?

My 7800n is set at 3dB SNR and it's stable with att at 56.5dB.
I only see ~1dB variation over the day unlike my last house where it varied 4-5dB during the day on my Cisco.

get a sky branded dg834gt from the bay for a few quid - mine will hold a signal down to 1 SNR. I know it isn't new, but it won't be a huge outlay

One thing you could do to help SNR is to remove the ring wire from all the sockets in the house, provided you have newer type phones they will still ring. Unfortunately that ring wire also acts as an antenae and decreases SNR. In my case, after I removed the ring wire my SNR went from 2db to 7db with a 10MB connection at night - as SNr on my line decreases into the evening/night.

So it's worth doing if you haven't tried it. The two wires that need to be there are 2 and 5, number 4(the ring wire) can be removed.

tp-link 8960n, it has a broadcom chipset and honestly for the money (£37) it cannot be beat, especially not by netgear trash

I have a TP-Link W8960N running now, how do these stats look?

best router at holding low SNR has to be the DGN2000 with DGteam firmware IMO. Held my connection down to 0.5db stable.

You can use RouterStats software and target SNR and I was on ADSL2+ as BT put my line at first 11344K and IP Profile rate of just 9000K as this is rather poor for my downstream line attenuation 33.0db and downstream SNR 15.1db before I use the RouterStats software and force SNR down from 15.1db to 0.6db and now my downstream sync at 18467K and IP Profile rate of 16000K and this far better than BT Wholesale restrict my line speed due to silly estimated speed of between 4.5Mb to 7.5Mb set by BTW for my ADSL2+.

Why can't BT just let the line and the router to get the highest sync speed without silly bras ip profile and SNR set.

See my graph here:

The TP-Link W8960N is going back to Amazon, it couldn't hold the connection. I am using a Netgear DGN2000 right now but it can't hold the connection at a low SNR either. Can you link me to the best DGTeam firmware? I know there are quite a lot of different versions. Also, could you give me your settings so I can get the best results?

Thanks.
