Just thinking about sound and music in games and thinking what was the best in terms of creating a atmospheric game. For me it was the original Quake soundtracks by Nine Inch Nails, did they produce some eerie soundtracks for that game or what. Along with the graphics, monsters and the level design what a classic!

Homeworld for me. Just thinking of the intro with Agnus Dei playing sends a shiver down my spine.

Depends whether your including games which has taken well known, commercial tracks and used them for easy brownie points.

In which case, GTA:VC wins hands down. 80's pop and rock in a box? Judas Priest? Roxy Music? Luther Vandross? Michael Jackson? INXS? Lionel Richie? It doesn't get any better.

GTA San Andreas for me, really added to the early 90's west-coast feel of the game, great soundtrack and awesome game, I like GTA: SA a lot more than GTAIV tbh.
