I have a 180GB SSD for Windows and Programs and a 1TB normal type HD for my games.
For games that I play a lot, I install them to the 1TB drive (theyre normally in Steam or Origin) and then copy them over to the SSD and set a junction point so that Steam and Origin can still find them. I can normally run with 4 or 5 games on the SSD at any one time. My steam folder on the 1TB is around 700 gigs so I only copy the ones I'm currently playing through or play a lot.
I just keep the whole lot (steam/origin/others) on the HDD... solely because this old git finds it easier to work out the backup locations for the backup scheduling
I'd vouch for OS and games on an SSD and then music/movies/other stuff on HDD.
Means you should be able to get away with 64GB if you don't mind not having many games installed at once, or 128GB should be very comfy, especially since the prices have come down loads recently for that size.
