if van nistelrooy is a great striker then owen is in a class above, hes been scoring consistently for the past 3 years for club and country at the age owen started bangin them in for england and liverpool nobody had heard of ruud, now that united arent steam rolling everyone this season he cant score, owen has scored two hattricks in his last 4-5 games in a supposedly boring liverpool side
.have any of u heard of a guy called mario jardel? i believe he was the golden boot winner last year. and he has been one of the top goal scorers in europe for the past few yrs. also, when he plays in the champions league he seems to score there too.
i dont quite understand why a top team hasnt come in for him.

Hmmm difficult one this
In terms of sheer goal numbers shearer has got to be up there, he's not playing in the best team in the world but seems to slot away 30 odd goals a season despite missing games theough injury etc etc
His all round game is also v. good a lot of the times you see shearer clearing from corners, holding up the ball etc etc, he gives a lot to the team, not just the goals he scores.
Just a side note he's on 9 goals out of 17 games this season already

Owen, 10 goals in a month, doing poorly at start, no goals, getting slattered and under heavy pressure, next moment, hes scored the most goals in premiership/cup competitions (along side Henry). I say thats pretty decent.

Don't know quite what you mean. Some people are mentioning Shearer. Smith will be better than that.
