Please, Nistelrooy is overrated, only scores tap ins :)

Owen, 10 goals in a month, doing poorly at start, no goals, getting slattered and under heavy pressure, next moment, hes scored the most goals in premiership/cup competitions (along side Henry). I say thats pretty decent. :)

LOL, how many of Owens goals this season have been from further out than the penalty spot? I can't remember one, in fact one of his hat-tricks consisted of 3 goals from within the 6 yard box.

My top three would be:

Ronaldo
Del Piero
Shevchenko

The players have different styles and I think Del Piero is more of a flair player rather than out-and-out goal scorer. He is a class act, although I still think the best pairing would have been him and Gabriel Batistuta in their time.

Looks like you've forgotten the Man City hat-trick eh.

If you read the post, I was comparing him to Nistelrooy, not Henry ;)

Even so. Owen doesn't have as good a finish as Kneestillsore, Kneestillsore is slow in comparison to Owen (and anyone else for that matter).

But neither of them are anything special.

what ever about van nistelrooy, owen has scored consistently in the premiership since hes started right from the off, hes played in two world cups and is still only 22, he mighnt have the skill of ronaldo or del piero but id still say hes a top class striker, same way as i regard alan shearer as a top striker never gonna get u off ur seat til he scores but who cares.

also the biggest clubs in the world incl real and lazio(when they had cash) were sniffing around owen lig dogs in heat so he must have something??

also when RvN doesnt play for man u, they look like a different (worse) team. as soon as he comes on its as if his introduction has baught on not just one player but 2 players.

for man utd anyway, he is irreplaceable just now.

Think I've got my stats right but 14 champions league goals
in 16 games for United. 45 goals in 60 games too, speaks
for itself.

Van Nistelrooy gets my vote. He has incredibly quick feet,
very fast and scores goals for fun.

Van Nistelrooy
Ronaldo
Henry

That would be my top three.

They are all brilliant strikers though.

forget about ruud (cant run, scores only tap ins) and owen (sure hes quick but he is about 3 foot tall so players just knock him out his stride by blowing at him) for god's sake!!!!!!!!! they r both about as good as iain dowie!!!!!! i would rather have heskey :D

why oh why oh why is it that whenever i see these polls, RAUL is not top????? SOMEONE GET A HOLD OF HIS GOALSCORING RECORD FOR CLUB AND COUNTRY!!!!!! PLAYING IN SPAIN, THE TOUGHEST LEAGUE IN THE WORLD TOO!!!!! he is hardly injured, gets assists, skillful, can head the ball, the guy can do everything but no one knows much about him cos he keeps himself to himself

so my list would be:
RAUL
RONALDO
SHEVCHENKO
HENRY

Hinch

i think raul was top goal scorer last year (not sure though) but what i do know is when jimmy floyd was in spain he was no.1. he scored more than rivaldo, raul, et all.

i voted for owen, but tbh, fowler > god > all :D

come on dude, fowler hasnt scored many goals for the last few years. and when he was at his peak he wasnt even in the same class as shearer. shearer was scoring 30+ league goals/season while fowler was scoring in the low 20's.

in terms of goals scored, shearer was scoring at least 30% more goals than fowler. and in the last few years, most strikers have been scoring more than fowler.
