Best thing to use to remove thermal paste

The number of people that have obviously completely failed to actually read the opening post is really quite astonishing. :)

Kitchen roll and cotton buds, depending how thick the paste is, I normally find just cotton buds do the job, with the isopropyl alcohol of course.

Any absorbent cloth that doesnt leave bits behind. Ive been using the same old rag for about 10 years.

Ohh my goodness, you guys make this so complicated.
Grab whisky/vodka etc and clean it with even with newspaper. I have done this many times on my athlon xp naked core too. More important is, apply the thermal paste in the right way. Just for short story, there is a guy who tried muster, ketchup etc instead of proper thermal paste just for fun. Some things are working quiet good.

I bought some Akasa stuff about five years ago that works a treat. There's still loads left as well.

Same. Actually I have 2 solutions of iso-propyl. 70% for normal use and then 100% for tougher stuff as / when needed.

Don't see any problem with coffee filters though.
