My girlfriend has the same c300 drive as me, she didn't want me to format her pc to reinstall windows on it so i set it up as a game drive for The Sims and World of warcraft. Everything in world of warcraft was loaded, no watching players load in bit by bit, the loading screen was very fast and everything felt a lot smoother.
The Sims 3 + a few expansions. If anyone has played this game they'll know how stupid the loading times are for this game, it takes a good few minutes for it to load with all the expansions on. But with the SSD it loaded in well under a minute, very very fast when changing world/houses or what ever it is.
A few months back, I got her to let me reinstall windows onto the SSD drive and while windows booted stupid fast and all the applications loaded in a snap, her games went back to being slow.
So I guess it really depends on what you want from it. For a gaming machine, my girlfriend prefers fast loading and smooth game play over fast booting and snappy windows use.
Personally, I'd go for the OS + Apps on the drive as I only really ever play minecraft these days ... groan I know, I know. Diggy diggy time.
