Well, the more you know about monitors the less satisfied you're to their tech, or its lack of advance.Cheers EsaT, much appreciated. I know so little about monitors, it's a minefield for me trying to buy the right one.
Any old CRT would still smash all LCDs in response times, contrast/black level and viewing angles.
By its nature LCD is just simply broken tech in those areas.
Actually 15-20 years ago there were techs under focused development, which would have combined those image quality attributes of CRT to LCD like flat panel and pixel accuracy.
Prototypes were even demoed in events
But then development of more promising one was stalled by patent trolling and then came economic downturn, after which still half broken because of that fancy and weak organic part-OLED hype killed it.
