Yep, never install the bloatware!Don't install the motherboard software, just grab the drivers directly from the manufacturer site, and chipset drivers from AMD/Intel. Amoury Crate, Control Center, Dragon Center, etc. can sometimes use a fair bit of resources in the background and sometimes even cause issues.
Nah avoid those kind of tips. Makes naff all difference and has a decent chance of breaking something.Yep I never install bloatware etc. what about core isolation do you guys disable that and also disable remote access I’ve read this can boost performance also?
I don't have any recent sources to hand for reference, but the overhead required for Virtualisation Based Security on modern systems is a low single digital percentage cost as far as I know. The security benefits that come from it far outweigh the performance cost, and it's quite likely that anti-cheat systems are going to increasingly rely on technologies like it in future so you'll end up needing it turned on anyway.Yeo I never install bloateare etc. what about core isolation do you guys disable that and also disable remote access I’ve read this can boost performance also?
No. IoT is a specific version of Windows available only under Enterprise license agreements intended with for industrial long term use (eg. installed on the computer interface of an expensive MRI machine).I've been told that if i'd be upgrading to 11 I should get "IoT" as it's the least bloated one, is that correct?
Thats LTSC (long term servicing channel) theres pros and cons (stripped to the bone but only available in one version i.e. 22H1 - until they release another version. Then you'll have purchase another licence for that. Licences aren't available to the general public so you need a friendly company with keys or visit shady websites).Don't mean to go off topics but has anyone gone from Windows 10 to 11 and noticed any performance increases in programmes/games?
