Tbh i was thinking more about how she pays the lower earners, the guys who clean up etc. If she's paying well above minimum then good on her but it would sit badly if she's paying the legal minimum while having that sort of wage and bonusComing from Stoke I know several and all have nice homes/cars etc and plenty of money to throw around.
One of my half cousins is living like a millionaire in Malta.
An ex colleagues son is paid a fortune to stop hackers and he has an open account to hire anybody for any suitable wage and any hardware he needs.
I can't imagine she pays cleaners any more than minimum wage TBH. But happy to be proved wrong.Tbh i was thinking more about how she pays the lower earners, the guys who clean up etc. If she's paying well above minimum then good on her but it would sit badly if she's paying the legal minimum while having that sort of wage and bonus
give over ..a history of what slavery and serfs? classiness ?bigots and nonces ... no one forces them to play/ gamble? but we are forced to keep her and hers even tho she's the richest women in the world no wonder she won't pay taxesWell, one is the continuation of our country's history, something that sets us apart from wannabe 'first world' countries and the equivalent of stroppy teenagers in the global community (USA I'm looking at you), and an element of classiness that we should be proud of. The other preys on poor, somewhat desperate people with a culture of gamifying addiction and making social problems worse. So uhh...
Seems her pay took the majority of the profits?

Depends on hours. Many cleaners work unsociable shifts like very early mornings and late nights. That’s got to be worth a bit of a bump up.What would the issue be with a cleaner getting minimum wage? If not a cleaner, what job do you consider it acceptable to earn the minimum?
There’s no issue? I’d be shocked if they got paid more than minimum, like I said. What would the issue be with a cleaner getting minimum wage? If not a cleaner, what job do you consider it acceptable to earn the minimum?
Bizarrely she is taking money from the vulnerable and often poor, putting most of it in her back pocket and then giving some to good causes in an attempt to cleanse her soul. I don’t dispute that her company makes a significant profit or that she can pay herself what ever she likes and she pays her taxes but there is a problem with gambling and gambling companies that needs to be addressed taking advantage of the vulnerable for corporate profit is pretty seedy.I think she should be praised rather than berated, as others have said, she pays full taxes, pays her staff a very competitive rate of pay, hasn’t made redundancies through covid and protected jobs very early on in the pandemic, hasn’t used furlough. If you can tick all of these boxes and still afford to pay yourself such a rate then its okay in my book.
She does put allot of money into the local community as well, my daughters gymnastics club was fully funded by the Denise Coates foundation, she also made a £10 million donation to UHNM NHS trust early in the pandemic, i think she also holds some strong ties with Keele University.

Gambling is a dangerous addiction for many and the industry deliberately takes advantage of this but I wouldn’t expect you to acknowledge that. Overseas profit or not the source is the same, I also you will note haven’t said she is evil or worse than the fast food problem that is also killing the country (that was all your whatabouterry lol). Comparing gambling websites to Starbucks is pretty low though. It's not like she's got high street firms with FOBTs all over the place, it's an online company and it is offering sports better... I do think there is room for some better gambling regs but overall she's hardly evil here.
Also, a fair amount of the profits here come from overseas, she's not just creating a bit of economic activity in the UK she's actively bringing in cash too.
As for what she does, well, it's entertainment. Sky TV takes large sums from the poor too and distributes it to a whole load of people including some millionaires in their 20s who kick a ball around.
Various fast "food" companies/franchises take plenty from the poor and sell them "food" of very limited nutritional value etc..etc.. Poor students frequently pay silly amounts for overpriced caffeinated hot water in coffee shops...
If people want to have a flutter on sports then I don't really see an issue with it, there are opportunities where they can (in theory at least) have the best of it too, it's not FOBTs or slot machines in a casino or even table games in a casino.

I didn’t say either were not addictive or that they were I was simply referring to the fact you didn’t seem to think her business is incredibly exploitative of the vulnerable. Your throwing loads of ‘what abouts’ in to try and deflect like it is ok for her to do it because someone else does. I stand by my point that posh coffee even if slightly addictive isn’t in the same league as a social problem as gambling or as damaging to society as the crap the fast food industry peddles so it has no place in the is no caffeine anonymous.LOL you're unaware that fast food can be addictive (and come with serious health consequences too) or indeed that caffeine is addicitve? Yet you're acting as though I'm either unaware of or not able to acknowledge addition here...

How far do you extend that though? How far is it acceptable to exploit addiction before it becomes unacceptable?I think that’s just a case of don’t hate the player, hate the game to be fair.
