Some screenshots with HDR, 16xAF and 6xAA... its simply the most graphically stunning game I've ever played, so glad I chose ATI! :D

And I can confirm what people are saying about have hardly any performace hit is completely true! i'm still getting 20-30fps outdoors (most the time, drops to about 15 in dense areas) and 40-60fps indoors (V Sync enabled), and I got that when I was running HDR on its own.

I was unable to get this to work last night :(
I applied the hotfix, and set AA to 2, 4, and 6 times in the control center, and enabled HDR in game, but jaggies were still evident.

Am I missing something? A couple of people in this thread have mentioned that they didn't get the AA to work straight away but managed to figure it out. What did you do to make it work?

Cheers
Dan

There's a good chance you'll be able to as most people are reporting that the frame rate remains the same with AA + HDR enabled. This is due to the game being CPU limited.

I love the idea of the game but getting seriously frustrated with it.

Tried the fishermens quest and couldnt for the life of me use a boat, so went swimming happily but no fish were around at all ( and I would have waited but of course yur air runs out within about 30 seconds) and just getting lost in the main quest also, been wandering around quite a bit trying to follow the red arrow, but its now just turning me in circles around a house which doesnt seem to have much in it at all. (unless you have to be aggressive to a sleeping lady, which definitely isnt on)

Yeah I hated the fishermans quest so I killed the fisherman hahahaha.

Best thing about this game is being so open ended. ;)

It's a lot easier to find the fish with a detect life spell or artifact, just follow the arrows and kill the little guys when you see the glow. If the arrow is red then your not in the right place, it will turn green when your in the correct area.

After exiting the dungeon it says follow red arrow, so while I am sure I am not in the right location, I dont know where to go as its just keeps on telling me to go round this house lol which is frustrating as I just want to solve the main quest first and then look around more afterwards as it were

So nobody knows how they got AA and HDR to workwith these drivers?

has anybody played this game with a 7600GT? whats it like if you have? friend of mine has bent my arm and I went out a bought it (the game that is) :).

I cant get this to work!

Ive installed the chuck patch (tried installing it directly over the previous drivers, then tried uninstalling the previous drivers and installing the patch after - no luck) but for some reason oblivion will not go AA when I enable it in the ATI control center. Note, that it doesnt matter whether HDR is enabled or not, it still wont go AA. I can enable AA via the oblivion video settings, but obviously doing it that way does not allow me to use HDR as well. Does anyone have any advice?

I couldn't get it working either, so I uninstalled the old drivers, rebooted, then installed the new 6.4 driver. I then installed the patch over the top. When installing the patch it says that some files are older than the ones already installed so I opted NOT to replace them.....whether it was the right thing to do I don't know but it all works and seems stable.

I then enabled AA and AF in the Control Panel, and in Oblivion I have HDR turned on, but not AA.

Seems to work ok now...hope that helps you.

Here are some pics with 2xAA and 16xAF....bit small though.

The ATI Hotfix, is it a ATI windows driver or does it overwrite Oblivion? I would prefer a utility that modifies Oblivion, not ATI drivers.

Well would you look at that now, is it my eyes or does that look like the water from the famous Forgotten Battles that ATi can't do, or was it Pacific Fighters. :D

Those shots look stunning.
