Beware of the Cat! Honest

Bitten on hand twice by next doors toxic cat when feeding it- Both times a trip to hospital as my arm was slowly going red.

He is the one I think bit our cat and it festered into a abscess which burst earlier this week.

Cat bites don't half hurt - Hate to be had by a big cat.

Edit-- crap spelling

Cats are psychopaths - I mean, what other pet kills things and then brings you their dead bodies as a present?

Dogs. They bring dead cats as a present :D

Disclaimer - post not intended to degenerate thread into all out feline vs canine warfare

I had recently moved back to my local area and needed a place to stay so i stayed my mums for approx 4 days until my place was ready, i also owned a male cat, my mums cat is female and hated any other cat on it's territory, my cat stayed with me in the bedroom, the next morning the door to the bedroom was slightly ajar and my mums cat got in.

Then the terror began :)

Just imagine a lion going at you but obviously smaller for what felt like 5 minutes but was probably only 30 seconds, they can do some damage to human flesh :)

The cat is still alive today, old and broke, but it still looks at me as if to say i can still take you down pal.

To the bone, really? Where?

Anywhere where the Bone is only a Cats incisor length below the surface! :D

Cats dont mess about, they sink their teeth in right up to the Gums and then some!

They dont just nip you like Dogs do! ;)

And then there is the Clawing and the Scratching to worry about to! (All at the same time)

Cats seriously rock when they are angry, check out Youtube for vids of ordinary domestic Cats scaring off bears, Crocodiles, Snakes, Pit Bulls, Whatever!

I imagine the feral ones are even more ferocious.

I would NOT want to be confronted by an angry Cat!

it was just testing your weaknesses this time, next time he will find you and he will kill you

Did this not pop into the heads of anyone in that house?

We had a rescue cat who had been beaten so badly he hardly had any teeth left. His instinct was to attack any humans feet. Thinking it was going to get a kick... We wore our shoes in the house for a while... But after it realised we where nice he was the best cat ever. Hard as nails and not scared of anything but amazing. The neighbours big dog ran at him once and needed a vet visit after skidding to a stop when instead of running he doubled in size hissing. He used to follow my dad to the pub . wait outside all night for us to come home etc . once seen him stalk a rabbit twice his size , get right upto it and get volleyed in the head for his efforts :p loved that cat !

Current rescue cat will try and kill any other cat . goes mental. But sits happily with birds in the garden and bring animals in still alive and sits with them. I imagine you could do anything to him and he wouldn't scratch you. My niece used to drag him round the house and he would just comply. Other cats though and it's like a scene from a cartoon. Total madness erupts

Cats are weird !

I was put in hospital after a feral cat got into the house chasing our own cat. Stupidly picked the little ******* up without thinking and ended up having my hand/wrist shredded. Thoroughly washed it and doused it surgical spirit, woke up the next morning and it was a bit sore. Went to work, got to lunchtime and my hand was twice the size and felt like I was about to pass out... long story short, I ended up staying in hospital for 2 nights with nurses injecting me with antibiotics every 4 hours to fight the infection that was taking over my whole arm!

Still love the little furballs though :p

Anyone else see the irony in them sending him a letter about this? :D

Now that sounds like what happened to me, except i was naked as i was just getting out of bed. It actually got me twice, after the first attack i got hold of it somehow and threw it out the door of the bedroom but i wasn't quick enough to close the door and it shot back in for round 2.

Then for a laugh my brother shut my bedroom door and and i was stuck with the cat mauling me until i got to the door and legged it downstairs.

Trying to protect yourself from teeth, claws and speed whilst naked isn't an easy thing to master.

I actually had a tetanus :)

What I dont like is that cats dont just bite, they tend to hang on for dear life. When my cat attacks my feet, I end up doing a riverdance to get it off and then have to throw my shredded socks straight in the bin.

Wouldn't swap her for the world though. 99% of the time is a lovely little thing.

My mums cat still attacks her dog who is 4 and 3 times bigger and mostly when the dog is even ready for her, i think it does it just for a laugh, im sure i hear doing hiss sniggers :)

It is around 20 years old now, a bit wobbly and blind with old age, but it still has a good 30 seconds of kill and win in it.
